Role Overview
The Regional Sales Director leads the expansion of IANTREK’s ophthalmic surgical portfolio across a multi-state region, overseeing and developing Surgical Glaucoma Managers to deliver commercial growth and clinical adoption. Strategic vision, disciplined execution, and commitment to IANTREK’s mission are essential.
Core Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and develop Surgical Glaucoma Managers to deliver and exceed sales targets across the region.
• Develop and execute territory growth strategies aligned with market trends and IANTREK’s corporate vision.
• Build and sustain trusted partnerships with ophthalmic Key Opinion Leaders, surgeons, and clinical stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Clinical, and Operations teams to support launches, surgeon onboarding, and educational programs.
• Analyze regional sales data and market insights to identify opportunities and quickly deploy effective action plans.
• Recruit, onboard, and coach top-tier sales talent to build a succession pipeline and future leadership bench.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPI) such as quota attainment, territory sales growth percentage, and sales cycle duration.
• Manage regional budgets and resource allocation to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly sales and market performance reports to the VP of Sales and senior leadership.
• Lead territory planning by establishing clear boundaries and criteria for territory expansion and market coverage.
• Foster a culture of trust, accountability, and innovation while ensuring all activities meet regulatory and ethical standards.
• Partner with the VP of Sales to harmonize communication cadence, performance metrics, and regional initiatives.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8–10 years med device sales experience, preferably in ophthalmology or surgical devices.
• 3–5 years of experience leading front-line managers or sales teams preferred.
• Demonstrated success launching or growing disruptive healthcare technologies.
• Results-oriented, analytical, and strategic approach to business and team development.
• Experience in budget management, sales forecasting, & data-driven business planning.
• Ability to implement, monitor, & report on sales team KPIs and territory growth metrics.
• Advanced proficiency with CRM platforms & data analytics tools to measure and optimize sales performance.
• Background of success driving team adoption of new sales technologies & digital tools
• Exceptional communication, relationship building, and coaching abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 60–70% of the time within the territory.
